Bazaar "Women Supporting Women" – A New Step Towards Women's Empowerment and Economic Support 

With great success, the Women’s Studies Center, in collaboration with the Dalia Association, concluded the "Women Supporting Women" Bazaar, held on Saturday, December 7, 2024, at the Abdul Mohsen Al-Qattan Foundation in Ramallah. The event showcased the creativity of 40 inspiring women entrepreneurs with small businesses.  
 
The bazaar witnessed the presence of notable figures, including:  
- Dr. Laila Ghannam, Governor of Ramallah and Al-Bireh.  
- Dr. Tihani Al-Louzi, representative of Jerusalem Governorate.  
- Ms. Buthaina Salem, Undersecretary of the Ministry of Women's Affairs.  
- Representatives from the Ministries of Economy and Foreign Affairs, the Palestinian Monetary Authority, and the Jerusalem Chamber of Commerce.  

In her speech, Ms. Sama Awadallah,General Director of the Women’s Studies Center, emphasized that this bazaar was the result of extensive studies and research conducted by the center to identify key economic challenges facing women. She reaffirmed the center's commitment to supporting underprivileged women, not only through training but also by advocating for policies and legislation that enhance their economic and social roles.  

 

Community Support and Contribution 

The proceeds from the bazaar’s ticket sales were fully allocated to supporting the participating women, reflecting strong community engagement and significant support.  
Additionally, the event received notable contributions from businessmen in Jerusalem, who played a vital role in ensuring its success.
