The Women’s Studies Centre is a human rights organization that actively promotes gender equality and women’s rights in Palestinian society. Its work promotes social change, equality and justice in the midst of strong social and political oppression. Since its establishment in 1989, the WSC has been promoting gender sensitive laws and policies on a national level, and engaging in program implementation on a community-level, to transform prevailing social attitudes on the status and rights of women and the female child. The WSC is steadily making progress on its goals of social change, equality and justice despite strong social and political barriers in the occupied Palestinian territories.
